Chuzer is a privately held start-up based out of London, UK that was started in June 2009. The team met during postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford in 2006. Chuzer is a decision making tool, enabled via sms, iPhone and the web, that channels the expertise in one's social network so that a user can make quick and trustworthy decisions on just about anything such as which pair of shoes to buy or a good crime novel to read.
Where The Idea Came From
The idea behind Chuzer.com was formed when one of the founders received a text from a friend asking him for a recommendation on a new mobile phone to buy. This made him think that there must be an easier way to categorize the expertise within one's social network so that any question about a decision could be sent to the right people who could quickly respond with trustworthy advice. The founders immediately realised that an application for this purpose enabled on a mobile phone would be very useful.
Why You Will Like Using Chuzer
Chuzer saves you time in making decisions and also identifies which of your friends are experts in various categories. At the heart of Chuzer is a decision engine which allocates each shopping need to the right people who are experts in that category. The ranking system further analyzes responses to identify the top experts in a given category.
